Great Dunmow, United Kingdom Felsted School Full time

**Fixed-term Contract**
**Our 2024 Senior Summer School will operate from 7th July to 18th August**
**Our 2024 Junior Summer School will operate from 7th July to 4th August**

Felsted is a leading day and boarding independent school based in a stunning village campus in North Essex. Founded in 1564 by Richard Lord Riche, who had been a Lord Chancellor under King Edward VI.

We celebrated our 450th anniversary in 2014, one of only a handful of Schools in the country that have claimed this historic milestone. We employ more than 160 teachers and 440 operational staff in a community orientated environment, ensuring our pupils receive the very best in learning and co-curricular activities. Felsted today provides an exceptional holistic education to approximately 1100 students aged four to eighteen.

We are excited to be running our tenth on-site Summer School in 2024. Operating during the School Summer Holidays for six weeks, the programme offers students a wide range of academic, sporting and cultural opportunities for c500 students aged 8-17 from every corner of the world. To run our successful and well-established programme, we need creative, enthusiastic and well qualified staff to work with us.

We are seeking House Parents to provide and maintain a safe and healthy domestic environment for all our students within the junior campus (students aged 8-11) and our senior campus (students aged between 12-17) during our International Summer School. Responsibilities include carrying out student role calls, storing student passports, return transport tickets and the management of student pocket money. The role involves supporting and assisting the arrangement of student activities within their boarding houses, excursions, afternoon sports and social programmes. As the role involves caring for international students, we are looking for someone who is approachable and able to deal with problems efficiently and calmly as they arise, such as cases of homesickness. The ideal applicant will have previous experience of living within a residential environment.

This is a fixed-term role; the Junior Summer School runs between 7thJuly and 4th August and the Senior Summer School runs from 7th July and 18th August 2024 with inductions being held from 4th to 6th July. The role will require the appointee to be residential for the duration of Summer School, which will involve some boarding duties, as well as involvement in excursions and social activities as required.
