HR and Health and Safety Administrator - The Sash Window Workshop

Role and responsibilities

Recruitment & Selection
- Provide support for the whole recruitment cycle.
- Working closely with Line Managers to identify appropriate recruitment strategies
- Creating and advertising job specifications.
- Managing recruitment tools and liaising with recruitment agencies and managers as appropriate
- Acknowledgement and administration of CVs
- Assistance with interview and selection process ensuring offer letters, contracts, new starter and leaver paperwork is issued

HR Support
- Front line support for employee queries
- Main point of contact for external HR advisers
- Arrange and coordinate disciplinary, absence management, grievance and performance management meetings in line with company policy
- Assist with HR element of induction process and ensure all employees undertake full induction
- Arrange training, maintain training records
- Support annual performance review process

Health & Safety
- Compile information and maintain H&S records
- Raise safety awareness throughout the business
- Ensure all accident reporting and investigations are properly documented and report findings to board
- Ensure all H&S training is conducted on time, documented on training matrix and properly recorded and signed off
- Ensure risk assessments are properly conducted and documented, working with line managers
- Be central point of contact for all H&S administra ve ma ers

Experience required
- Recruitment and using recruitment tools and agencies
- Working within HR team with an awareness of basic employment law
- Managing disciplinary, attendance management and performance management reviews
- Managing health & safety processes, including carrying out risk assessments

Skills needed
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Able to work independently and take control of own day/workload
- Great organisation skills and high levels of accuracy
- Customer focussed and an excellent communicator
- Good team player
- Ability to prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are achieved
- Outgoing, with the ability to engage with and relate to all employees
- Confident and articulate to ensure that company policies and processing timetables are adhered to
- CIPD qualification desirable
- Previous experience of working in Health & Safety, ideally with an IOSH Managing Safety Qualification.

**Salary**: Up to £32,000.00 per year
