Stock Checker

We are currently recruiting for warehouse stock checkers to join our stock office team located at our head office in Heywood.

This position will be based in the Warehouse which is a cold store that is set at minus 20 degrees. But don't let that put you off We will provide full PPE so you are safe and warm, and you will have regular with in the stock office liaising with Stock team.

Working hours are 0700 to 1900 on a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern with a 30 min unpaid lunch and a 15 min paid break. 11.5 hours per day. The first 2 - 3 weeks would be Monday to Friday then normal shifts commence once trained.

**The role**
In this role you will complete varied tasks which include:

- To ensure that the physical stock quantities match the available quantities on the system.
- Use MHE and reach truck to ensure products are located in correct areas
- Investigate stock discrepancies each day and update the system to maintain accurate stock position.
- To assist the stock control and goods in teams in ad hoc counts when queries arise.
- Support the warehouse team with damaged or waste product to ensure all stock adjustments are captured and accurate.
- Support the stock control team with month end and year end counts as required
- To work in a team-based environment where all managers/employees work together for the good of the business
- Via both formal and informal meetings ensure that your line manager is kept update on any opportunities or threats that could impact the business
- Through the department provide ongoing intelligence/data/information that can be used by other departments to make more informed decisions

**What we are looking for**:

- Computer literate, i. e., a confident user of all Microsoft packages
- Excellent organisation and administration skills
- Confident communicator
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of stock inventory
- Ability to work within a team
- Must have 6/12 months experience on MHE & Reach Truck
