EC Drummond Group is a diverse and growing family run agricultural business based on the outskirts of Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.

We are looking to recruit a Fruit Foreman required to assist in the day-to-day management of an 150ha top fruit farm at Tillington, Herefordshire growing dessert apples, cider apples and cherries. This is a new position.

Living in the local area is beneficial and you must have a full driving licence.

This is a **“hands on” **role and you will be expected to undertake tasks with the team.

**General Roll**

To be a working supervisor in the orchards with a small team to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services, and processes to meet the needs of the organisation.

Reports to

Assistant Production Manager and Head of Production

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Alongside the Assistant Production Manager develop and implement a pruning and 2-D plan for all orchards
- As the season progresses work with the Assistant Production Manager and Agronomists to develop a thinning strategy for all orchards
- Work with the Assistant Production Manager to implement and supervisor the annual Harvest plan
- Be a working supervisor with the production team and manage the team’s hours to implement the weekly plan
- Monitor staff and skill levels for the work required highlighting concerns to the Production and HR Managers
- Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency
- Help to monitor orchards throughout their lifecycle for disease, pest and general crop health and report back to Assistant Production Manager
- Work within the set budgetary requirements
- Performance manage, develop and train staff, with assistance as required
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes
- Flexible attitude to working week with a willingness to work anti-social working hours if required

**T&Cs**

Salary will be competitive (with some overtime) and discussed at interview along with any other T&Cs.

NEST Pension

31 days holiday per annum

**Salary**: From £26,500.00 per year
