**Purpose of the Role**

Collecting and disposing of waste materials, cleaning waste areas, operating machinery such as compactors or waste sorting equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations, sorting recyclable materials where needed.

**Key Responsibilities**

A waste operative working on residential building in maidenhead dealing with residential waste typically has responsibilities that include:
1. Collecting residential waste bins from designated areas within the building.

2. Presenting bins for collection at specified times and days of the week.

3. Ensuring bins are securely closed and positioned appropriately for collection.

4. Assisting residents with any queries or issues related to waste disposal.

5. Reporting any irregularities, such as overflowing bins or damaged containers, to supervisors.

6. Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in waste storage areas.

7. Adhering to health and safety regulations while handling waste materials.

8. Possibly assisting with recycling initiatives and sorting recyclable materials.

Overall, the role involves efficiently managing residential waste disposal within the building and ensuring compliance with waste management regulations.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**

Previous experience in a similar environment would be advantageous

Working hours: 40 hours a week 0600am - 1400pm
