Warehouse and Distribution Operative

We are the Retail side of Woodgreen Pets Charity, with 22 shops throughout East Anglia, Nothamptonshire and Oxfordshire. We provide a daily service to our shops as well as collections and deliveries to our customers and donors.
- Support the allocation and distribution of donated stock, consumables, new goods and other Retail items to all shop locations
- Facilitate the sorting and tidy storage of all stock received into the Warehouse
- Dispose of broken stock through visiting local refuse centres where necessary
- Operate in the Warehouse in a tidy and safe manner, maintaining the organisation of the Warehouse
- Drive a van to/from the Warehouse to all Retail current and future locations in the East Anglia, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, East Midlands & Oxfordshire areas
- Collect donated stock from shop locations and distribute to other locations as required
- Collect donations from residential properties as required including full house clearances
- Support new shop openings in region with stock deliveries and local collections
- Liaise with Shop Managers to ensure the efficient and appropriate provision of stock to maximise sales.
- Collect and distribute items from the main Godmanchester centre as required
- Liaise with donors and customers as necessary, providing good customer service and acting as positive ambassador for the organisation
- Work to a flexible and efficient collection and delivery schedule as agreed with the Retail Operations Manager.
- Distribution of Stock/from the Warehouse to all Retail current and future locations in the East Anglia, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire, NortHamptonshire, East Midlands & Oxfordshire areas.

The delivery and collection of donations will range from bags and boxes to furniture.

This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week.

The starting salary for this role is £20,177 - £21,912 per annum depending on experience.
