The Soundproofing Store is a fast-growing, web-based soundproofing consultancy and supplier of award-winning soundproofing materials.

A multi-award winning business, The soundproofing Store is situated just outside Ripley near Harrogate in an idyllic countryside setting. We are the largest online retailer of Soundproofing materials in the UK and we pride ourselves on giving our customers the best expert advice to solve their specific soundproofing problems.

**Role specifics**

We are looking for a talented, energetic individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional soundproofing advice to our clients and owning that relationship from start to finish.

No soundproofing knowledge is needed as full training will be given. The person we are looking for will have a technical sales track record or background, and/or someone with confident telephone sales skills and the ability to explain technical solutions to customers.

Someone to add new dynamics to the existing team, to help grow with the business for many, many years and have the ambition to want to make a difference. The role is within a small team, (we are not a call centre) and there is always the opportunity for growth and variety. An individual with new ideas to help move the business forward will be encouraged and listened to.

Full training will be provided, and you will work alongside a knowledgeable and friendly team who will offer full support throughout your training period and thereafter.

**There is zero cold calling** with this role as all leads are generated via the website or via incoming calls. When you do take on a lead, we need you to be a Soundproofing Store ambassador, so a natural flair and an air of confidence is a must, along with the ability to quickly learn detailed technical information.

**Skills / attributes**
- Motivated and enthusiastic
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate well on the phone with a professional and friendly telephone manner
- The ability to build trust and rapport with customers
- Proven telesales experience
- Able to deal with customer enquiries and queries promptly, efficiently, and courteously, ensuring appropriate follow-up is completed where required
- Maintain effective communication and good working relationships with all internal and external teams
- Strong organisations skills, with the ability to prioritise and be proactive in updating the internal CRM
- Able to work on own initiative and contribute ideas to the overall success of the business
- Basic DIY skills is advantageous due to how our soundproofing systems are installed
- Experience of the construction industry is also an advantage but not a necessity

**Qualifications**

Computer literate. Excellent telephone skills. Previous telephone-based sales experience is an advantage.

**Salary** £23,000 - £28,000 basic starting salary, (depending on experience) plus monthly team based commission. OTE £32,000+

5 weeks paid holiday

The role is working 5 days per week (Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm), Our modern office is based 2 miles outside Ripley HG3 3BF with free parking.
