The Council is calling on people to join a bank workforce for its Reablement team to support others in the local community.

As the winter months approach, it is important people receive the care and support they need, and this bank workforce will be called on to help with any pressures in both the Reablement team and other services it supports outside the Council.

By joining the Reablement team, people won’t just be joining the Council, but also a community team that supports others to enjoy full and independent lives.

Reablement workers come from all walks of life, but what they all have in common is the right values, as they’re adaptable, friendly, respectful and caring.

No matter where people live in west Cheshire or surrounding areas, there are plenty of opportunities across the borough and they’ll be allocated work as near to them as possible.

There are several different positions available that are flexible with what people can offer, whether they’re looking for part-time work to support others around their other commitments or longer hours as a more permanent position.

**Reablement Worker**

**Ellesmere Port, Chester, Northwich, Winsford, Surrounding Rural Areas**

**Are you passionate about supporting people in your local community and working to achieve goals with our service users to live independently in their own home?**

**We are looking to recruit a team of bank staff who truly care and are committed to making a difference in an individual’s life.**

**Shift patterns are:7am - 1pm 8am - 2pm and 4pm - 10pm**

As a provider service for adult social care, we have a number of Reablement worker opportunities within the borough, working for the local government who truly values their staff to improve the lives of our service users.

**What you will be doing**

You’ll be working with a warm, friendly team based in Ellesmere Port, Chester, Vale Royal and Rural areas within the Cheshire west and Chester area.

Joining the Reablement team you will not just be joining a local council but a wider community team who support service users and their families to live full and independent lives.

Reablement Workers come from all walks of life but what they all have in common is the right values. They’re adaptable, friendly, respectful, and caring and whilst promoting independence they support our service users with dignity and compassion, like a member of their own family.

**Being a Reablement Worker means supporting people in their own homes for a short space of time to assist them to reach their full potential, this may include**

Managing a variety of aspects of daily living skills including personal and intimate care supporting service users to become independent in their home

Setting clear and achievable goals to help people rebuild their former independence

Build confidence to sustain independent living at home and in their communities

Possible medication management

Supporting meal preparations

Ideally, you’ll be able to drive and have access to a car.

Previous experience in a care setting is not essential as full training is provided

The contractual work location for this role is listed above however you may be required to work from a range of work locations or sites within the Borough and may also be required to work from home, depending on the needs of the service.
