We have an exciting new opportunity to assist in the prevention and detection of crime by monitoring and evidencing CCTV incidents throughout South Yorkshire using digital CCTV systems. This role involves providing evidence for crime files and court with regard to CCTV recording.

**As a CCTV Operator you will be responsible for**:

- Monitoring CCTV cameras in Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley Districts for activity warranting Police or other response and liaising with Police Staff as required.
- Operating equipment to maximise the effectiveness of the scheme.
- Upkeep of digital equipment.
- Providing recorded footage of incidents and recording them for evidential purposes. Providing statements for court purposes.

**Skills and experience**:

- Communication skills - ability to listen, empathise and provide support and relay accurate information.
- Experience of information gathering and problem solving.
- Flexible approach required and the ability to work 24/7 shift pattern.
- Ability to work under pressure, making logical and appropriate/proportionate decisions.
- An ability to view live images and digital footage.
