**Your new role at NewDay**
**0-12 months you'll deliver**
The month end close process, working with stakeholders across the Finance, Commercial and Operations teams to ensure accurate accounting for assigned cost areas in accordance with IFRS
Associated balance sheet reconciliations ensuring high quality support is in place and support monthly balance sheet reporting and analysis.
Preparation of monthly cost reports for assigned areas, providing insightful analysis of performance and highlighting areas for further investigation. Support Commercial Finance in understanding results and the drivers of variances to budget/forecast.
Support the external auditors with regards to your cost areas, ensuring a smooth audit process at each reporting cycle where auditor input is required.
Ensure all deliverables adhere to the Financial Control Framework and contribute to the delivery of continuous process and control improvements for assigned areas of responsibility.
**What you'll bring**
**We need knowledge, experience + expertise in**:
Part qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Financial Reporting, Finance analyst or Management accounting roles.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence a range of business partners at different levels.
Resilience and proactive with strong organisational skills to ensure delivery of high quality outputs to challenging deadlines.
High attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to analyse performance to deliver insight which is presented clearly and concisely.
**And would love you to know or learn**:
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Use of finance systems (Sun GL, Infor Q&A)
