**The Role**:
As Head of Pricing you’ll lead our pricing strategy, taking ownership of defining, delivering and implementing our pricing strategy.

As a fast paced Private Equity backed business we have big plans for the future. As part of our growth we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Pricing. As the Head of Pricing, you will play a pivotal role in driving the profitability and growth of our company. You will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies, optimising pricing models, and providing strategic guidance to the wider Highbourne Group.

(Highbourne Group includes brands such as City Plumbing, Direct Heating Spares, Energy Efficiency, National Shower Spares, Plumbnation, Plumbworld, The Bathroom Showroom, and The Underfloor Heating Store).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Own the pricing policy, maintenance and strategy to improve price index position and consequently drive market share.
- Develop the pricing system, working with the IT team to deliver process and system improvements
- Improve and review category pricing strategy to drive sales and profit.
- Optimise customer profitability by customer by chanel, through regular price routines alongside ad hoc project requests.
- Review financial performance spotting any trends in customer buying behaviour, develop impact models to test and learn on new price strategies
- Lead, manage and develop your own team and provide support where necessary across the broader Commercial Team.
- Support trading plan and develop new pricing options.
- Support operations and sales team to improve understanding of the pricing strategy and requirements of them to support growth.
- Deliver competitor, sales and operational behaviour insight to the category and senior leadership team.

This is primarily a hybrid-based role with visits to our office, branches & suppliers on a weekly basis. You should be based in the UK within easy reach of our Head Office is based in Crick, Northamptonshire.

**Skills and competencies**:

- Previous experience of owning a pricing strategy within a large multi-faceted business.
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Analytical in approach, able to use numbers and data to improve Pricing and Profitability.
- Able to analyse, shape, and deliver pricing strategy.
- Strong influence and communication skills.

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Builders Merchants, Buying Manager, Digital Transformation, Estimating Manager, Head of Buying, Head of Estimating, Head of Pricing, Pricing Manager, Retail, Senior Pricing Manager, Trading Manager.
