As we continue to progress with the construction of our exciting expansion into Cambois, Blyth, we are looking to engage with a Construction Project Planner on a contracting basis. The position of a Construction Project Planner is required onsite to help support the Project Manager in the daily overseeing of planning construction works, machine installation & commissioning, design interfaces, reporting and technical support / troubleshooting

**Main duties**:

- Be fully familiar with the Terms and Conditions of Contract.
- Demonstrating knowledge of construction scheduling and construction terms of reference
- Creating, maintaining and reviewing a programme of work
- Develop a combined schedule from the main construction schedule to include machine installation and commissioning
- Identify opportunities of improvement
- Planning contingency programmes in case timeframes change
- Development and production of reports on progress, critical paths, resources and earned value and schedule risks and issues
- Produce short term look-ahead schedules, as detailed in the projects Project Control Plan (PCP)
- Analyse schedule data and communicate any potential delays
- Liaising with engineers, architects, main contractor and internal stakeholders
- Producing progress reports and forecasts for team members and stakeholders
- Breaking large jobs down into phases of development
- Using project management tools to plan timeframes
- Provide advice and support to maintain progress and recommend corrective action where necessary.
- Attend the regular Progress Review meetings in accordance with the Project Management Plan
- Support and help evaluate construction EoT (Extension of Time)
- Supporting the machine installation team members
- Calculate the resources needed for machine installation and commissioning

**Job Requirements**:

- Professional accreditation with an industry related body would be advantageous
- Experience in Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Construction
- Experience in Complex Machine Installation and Commissioning advantageous
- Planning software Primavera P6 and Asta PowerProject
- CSCS Card
