**About us**:
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the charity that saves lives at sea. Our volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland from 238 lifeboat stations and a lifeguard service at over 240 beaches which can respond anywhere across the UK and Ireland.

Our lifeboat crews and lifeguards need dedicated, professional and talented teams to ensure we have efficient processes that enable them to deliver the rescue service. In Service Information Section we are responsible for ensuring that the organisation accurately records the RNLI’s lifesaving activities. We facilitate vital processes such as confirming the casualty outcome of services, recognising the gallant efforts of our crew and checking the accuracy of vital information about rescues. We take pride in making sure the institution has the timely and accurate information it needs to save lives.

We’re looking for a Data Support Assistant to join our Service Information team. The Service Information Section supports the RNLI through producing accurate, high quality information relating to services undertaken by the lifeboats, lifeguard service and relevant partners and recording coastal fatalities.

**Your Role**:
As a Data Support Assistant, you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:

- Data input and maintenance of database
- Producing accurate, high quality information relating to services undertaken by the lifeboats and lifeguard services
- Investigate and report changes
- Handling queries from RNLI volunteers, staff and members of the public

**About You**:
You’ll be someone who is organised and enjoys dealing with people. To be considered as the Data Support Assistant you will need:

- A flexible approach
- Enjoy routine
- Great attention to detail and accuracy

Other organisations may call this role Data Entry, Database Co-ordinator

So, as a Data Support Assistant you will be comfortable with working with sensitive data, enjoy working in an analytical and accurate way and be self-motivated to achieve individual and team targets. Previous experience of data processing and inputting datasets will be advantageous but not essential.
