We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of theCommercial Team at Hull University Students' Union (HUSU) working as a Bar ShiftLeader primarily based at Wetherspoon at Sanctuary (the role will also support Asylum on occasion).

**About the Role**

The Bar Shift Leader role is essential in ensuring our customers receive a first-class service and it will give you the chance to use your excellent customer service skills along with your ability to motivate and support others. The key responsibilities are:

- Deliverexcellent customer service, at all times
- Serve and present beverages, quickly and efficiently, meeting our standards
- Assist in keeping the bar, front-of-house and toilets clean and tidy, at all times
- Keep up to date with current promotions and new products
- Make customers aware of offers on our great food and drink range
- Speak to customers to ensure that they are satisfied with their meals
- Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner
- Deal with deliveries and report and loss or damages to the duty manager
- Assist in keeping wastage to a minimum by the correct pouring and measurement of products
- Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and workbooks
- Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws
- Be involved and contribute at team meetings
- Carry out instructions given by the management team and head office

Reports to - Bars General Manager.

Direct reports - These include Bar Associates and Bar Service Leaders.

Indirect reports - These include Kitchen Associates and Kitchen Service Leaders
