Our community hospitals provide a range of comprehensive healthcare services for patients over the age of 18 and in some sites also outpatient services. The units predominantly provide rehabilitation and end of life support for palliative patients and their families.
Health Care Assistants will work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers, who all play an invaluable contribution in how our users experience our services.
As a Healthcare assistant you will provide clinical, health and personal care for patients under the direction of the nurse in charge.
You will maintain at all times, a kind, caring and professional attitude towards patients, relatives and colleagues within the clinical setting, taking into consideration dignity, privacy, and confidentiality, cultural and religious needs.
In addition, you will work with other team members to ensure that plans of care are carried out to the agreed standard.
You will be expected to participate in 24-hour internal rotation which includes working a mixture of the following shifts: early, late, night and long days and undertake other duties where requested which are compatible with the grading of the post.
