Job description

**We are recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to work in our Forensic Mental Health Supported living services in Central Watford.**
- We understand the complexities and legalities involved in community-based support for people who have been discharged from secure settings, or who have offended in the past.
- Our expert Support Work team focus on promoting independence while identifying and managing risks, resulting in a community-based support model that provides a “least restrictive” alternative
- Our 24 hour supported living services offer homely and supportive environments that are focused on the individual needs and aspirations of the people we support.
- Our supported living model enable us to work towards **increasing independence, minimizing risk** and **reducing support over time**, with the **ultimate goal of more independent living**.
- Extensive training package available

**Key responsibilities of the Forensic Mental Health Senior Support Worker will include**:

- **Act as an associate key worker to specified people we support.
- Assist in the development of Care & Support plans to reflect the lifestyles and choices of the people we support
- Carrying out the administrative tasks associated with the care planning recording systems.
- Support people with all aspects of their medication.
- Support people to develop and maintain friendships and relationships with others (including relatives).
- Assist in monitoring people Health and Wellbeing, reporting any changes to the senior or designated person responsible
- Undertake escort duties outside of the home, as required.
- Involve and support the service users in the undertaking of household tasks as appropriate to the individual.
- Confident and comfortable with lone working

**A must**:

- Willingness to Learn and undertake training
- Good communication and listening skills
- Work as part of a team
- Be compassionate
- Be a positive role model

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience in a similar supported living environment and working with people who have mental health

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: £11.29 per hour
