Greenkeeper/Groundskeeper

**Introduction**:
Inverness Golf Club is a long-established and reputable golf club located in the Highland Capital. We have a vacancy for a greenkeeper/groundsperson to join our team that manages our excellent city centre parkland course.

**Job Purpose**:
To assist in maintaining all areas of the golf course and adjacent areas, as directed by the Course Manager.

The main duties will include:
Ø Divot filling fairways and tees

Ø Raking bunkers

Ø Strimming grass

Ø Emptying waste bins

Ø Weeding clubhouse and Car Park areas

Ø Other general duties that are related to ground maintenance and operational activity

Ø Operating the relevant machinery as per the Course Manager’s instructions and in line with Health and Safety guidelines

**Qualifications and Experience**:
Ø Basic grounds maintenance experience; gardening, horticulture, grass cutting, grass care, hedge cutting, border maintenance etc.

Ø A strong work ethic with a focus on delivering work of the highest standard.

Ø Good communication skills and be dependable, committed, and capable of working outdoors, both alone and as part of a team.

Ø Physically fit with experience of working in a demanding environment.

Ø An interest in landscaping and grounds maintenance, horticulture etc.

Ø A full UK driving licence

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri. There may be additional hours required from time to time.

**Salary**: £10 to 11.50 per hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: £10.00-£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
