This position is geared towards the smart and self-motivated applicant who is interested in finance and accounting. Our Purchase Ledger Clerk is responsible for maintaining all purchases, processing vendor payments and maintaining supplier accounts. The Purchase Ledger Clerk is often the first point of contact for suppliers, so he or she must be well organized, motivated and willing to work within a team environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Matching, checking and coding invoices
- Purchase ledger on CIA software (similar to Sage)
- Invoice evaluation, price checking
- VAT Returns
- Working out VAT payments
- Making payments via BACS
- Bank reconciliation
- Process Payments
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Filing invoices
- Managing petty cash
- Data entry
- Being first point of contact for all relevant inquiries

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24-26 per week

**Salary**: From £17,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- SHEFFIELD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:
