Reed HR are pleased to be partnering with a vital division of a well known educational organisation, in the recruitment of a HR Officer, within their busy and thriving HR function.

Reporting to the HR Manager and working closely with the Deputy HR Manager, the HR Officer plays a vital part in the coordination of a highly professional and customer focused HR service within the department. With c.500 staff, this role will be a busy andvaried one, which spans all of the traditional generalist areas of HR. Working within a friendly and supportive team, you will be a vital addition to a great team, adding real value to the organisation.

As the HR Officer, you will be responsible for the following:

- Responsible for the full recruitment process, from role approval to drafting and amending job descriptions, writing adverts, to shortlisting to offer and pre-employment checks
- Preparing contracts of employment with varying terms and conditions, ensuring the right process has been applied
- Administering the payroll process including processing all monthly payroll changes, adding new starters information, amending any salary changes, resolving any anomalies
- Managing the employee lifecycle including monitoring of fixed term contracts, probationary reviews, sickness and annual leave records

To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have prior HR experience within a fast paced and varied role. You will be an excellent communicator, able to confidently liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You'll be ableto prioritise a workload with conflicting priorities. You'll be confident with using HR systems and picking up new processes quickly.

This role is currently being worked on a hybrid basis, with 1 day per week spent in the office for team meetings and collaboration. It is expected that in the coming months this may rise to 2 working days in the office. Offices are based in the Headington/Marstonarea, and so it is essential you are able to travel here at least one day per week.
