The main duties and responsibilities of the role are detailed below: BP Monitoring. Urinalysis. Phlebotomy. Diabetic foot checks/Podiatrist referrals.

Weight Monitoring. Family history and social history recorded. Provide lifestyle advice to patients making necessary referrals to other clinicians i.e. diet, exercise, smoking alcohol etc.

Chaperone when required. Monthly checks on clinical room bags as per the tick list. Maintaining equipment used by HCA and Practice nurses. Ensure sharp's bins are ready for collection.

Ensure specimens are correctly labelled and bagged ready for collection. Seasonal information is readily available for patients. INR checks. Ear irrigation.

ECG's. Administration duties, audits, patient recalls, BP averaging. The HCA will be instructed and supported by the lead Nurse on clinical matters and training.
