The Energy Adviser will be responsible for the delivery of energy advice to households to reduce fuel poverty. The project aims to build financial resilience among vulnerable consumers and increase the likelihood of households being able to meet their heating requirements to stay warm and safe and avoid cold-related health problems. Advice may include **reducing energy expenditure, income maximisation, avoiding debt and disconnection, and helping to resolve complaints.**

The focus will be on providing welfare benefits advice and income maximization, initial debt advice and **crisis responses**, energy efficiency advice and support to access measures to address cold homes including the arranging and assurance of provision of additional support from partner agencies.

This service will be delivered through various channels including telephone, online support and face to face. This role will be based at CA Bedford with elements of outreach, pop up advice and home working.

You will need excellent communication skills, the ability to manage your own workload and be a great team player.
