About the role

Working across North East Wales in Wrexham and Flintshire CAMHS, and you will deliver family therapy to children, young people with a variety of mental health problems and their families within a multi-disciplinary team.

You will supervise and provide consultation to colleagues from varying multi-disciplinary backgrounds.

About the team

You will work alongside friendly and dedicated clinicians, delivering evidence-based interventions to children, young people and families.

You will also be joining a team of well-established and passionate family therapists across North Wales, with access to supervision of supervision if you are a registered clinical supervisor.

The expectation will be that you will be able to work autonomously with complex needs including eating disorders, psychosis and depression and self-harm within young people. Furthermore, you will be able to provide supervision to other members of the team working with children and young people with complex difficulties.

You will be joining a team of experienced Family Therapists; this will give an opportunity to develop further collaborative working, space for reflective practice and continued development of systemic work within the CAMHS setting. You will work alongside CAMHS Clinicians and offer consultation, supervision and training to the team and possibly wider services as required.

- A recognised postgraduate Family Therapy or equivalent qualification at Masters or Higher Academic Award.
- Professional registration in line with the Mental Health measure Wales (Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse in Mental health or Learning disabilities)
- Experience working with children and people in a variety of settings.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- The ability to manage a caseload.
- Knowledge and skills, risk management and safeguarding.
- Experienced in supervision.
- Understanding of the presentation of mental health difficulties in children and young people.
