We have a vacancy for a Part Time Dispensary Clerk to join our friendly and supportive team. We are based in the beautiful market town of Blandford Forum, a short drive from Wimborne, Poole, Dorchester and Bournemouth.

The shift pattern we are looking for is 9.5 hours on a Tuesday and Wednesday. This role is based across two sites so driving is essential.

As a Dispensary Clerk you would be expected to project a positive and friendly image to dispensary patients and other visitors and deal with queries in a professional, courteous and efficient way.

**Dispensary Admin Tasks**
- Collection of prescription charges/checking patient exemption statements
- Cash handling
- Maintaining full and accurate records of all dispensing transactions
- Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with Practice guidelines
- Handing out prescriptions in accordance with Practice policies
- Undertaking other reasonable duties within the framework of the post
- Experience of working in a public reception environment
- Experience of telephone switchboard operation
- Experience of dealing with the public
- Excellent keyboard and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness and common sense

If you don’t have a health background don’t worry, we will provide a tailored induction program. You’ll be joining a team made up of health professionals such as GP's, Nurses, and Paramedics.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18 per week

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
