IBMG is the largest independent merchant group in the South of England operating through five core divisions (Builders Merchants, Timber, Plumbing & Heating, Roofing and Electrical), primarily serving trade customers with an extensive range of products. IBMG has over 170 branches extending from Penzance to Margate, generating revenues in excess of £650 million and are supported by over 2,200 colleagues.

Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Assistant to join our team at Amersham.

**The Role**

You will be responsible for:

- Dealing with sales enquiries on a face to face and over the telephone basis.
- Represent the branch and assist with the growth of the business working as a team to exceed sales targets.
- Ensuring that the needs of the customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently whilst providing a service that ensures that customers return on a regular basis.
- Assisting in other roles within the branch including restocking the shop, stock control and assisting in the yard
- Building and maintaining relationships with different types of customers.

**The Requirements**
- This position would be ideal for anyone who is currently or has recently worked on a trade counter or within an internal sales / telephone sales role.
- Comfortable operating a computer-based sales processing system (Full in-house training for all computer and technical aspects of this role will be provided).
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships.
- Full drivers licence is essential for this role.

**The Hours**
- Week:1 Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:15
- Week:2 Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:15 Saturday: 08:00 12:00
