CNC Operator Programmers

Our client is looking to recruit skilled CNC Operator Programmers to join their team.

You will be responsible for operating and programming computer-controlled equipment, such as 3 and 4-axis mills, as well as manual and CNC lathes, to produce high-quality precision parts.

**Main Duties**
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts to specification / drawings.
- Develop CNC programs using CAM software or manual programming language.
- Select and install the appropriate cutting tools and fixtures.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, tool changes, and maintenance performed.
- Communicate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
- Adhere to all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, understand geometric dimensions and tolerances, and have experience with CNC programming.
- Experience and knowledge with Dugard 760XP vertical mills and a Dugard SMEC SL2000 CNC Lathe.
- Technical degree or certification in CNC programming and operation preferred, but not essential.
- At least 3 years of experience in operating and programming CNC machines.
- Good mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with CAM software and manual programming languages.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and understand geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience of Siemens 828D controls an advantage.

**Working hours**
- 4-day week
- Monday to Thursday

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
