£35,000 - £45,000 (Dependent on Experience)

**The Client**

Our client are a multidisciplinary building consultancy who have been established for over 50 years. They have projects of all sizes across the UK and over the years have developed a range of specialist services that are delivered with our clients in mind. They are now on the lookout to secure a Principle Designer to join their team.

**The Role**

Our client are looking to appoint a Principal Designer to join their Construction Consultancy. You will have the opportunity to work across a range of sectors (including both public and private) and projects varying in complexity and value. The work will be predominantly providing Principal Designer Services, however you will be required to provide Building Surveying expertise.

**Key Responsibilities**

Principle Designer / CDM
- Liaising and communicating with clients, designers, contractors and others and to offer advice and guidance on CDM/health and safety issues;
- Assisting with the preparation of health and safety/CDM documentation for contractors, clients and others
- Seek and follow up opportunities to promote the company
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and to keep them informed of issues on your projects, at all times.
- Attending pre-contract, and other site meetings

Building Surveying
- Completing both professional and project based works
- Operating as a key member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Focusing on a range of residential and commercial projects
- Effectively interfacing with clients and building business relationships
- Liaising with fellow professionals and other members of the project team
- Maintaining safety awareness on sites and keeping abreast of building regulations and design standards

**Key Experience**
- Possess a good and up to date working knowledge of Construction, Design and Management Regulations CDM2015
- Hold a NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety
- Relevant HNC, HND, BSc or MSc (or equivalent) in a construction-related topic
- Ideally hold IMaPS - Membership of Association of Project Safety
- Recently qualified or close to taking the RICS APC pertaining to the Building Surveying Pathway
- Good knowledge and understanding of appropriate legislation
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Must have a knowledge of project based works
- Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Be highly organised
- Be client facing
- Enjoy working within a close-knit team
