Royal Borough of Greenwich is looking for an Experienced Social Worker to join their Moving to Adulthood Pilot Team.
This is a Locum Social Work role.
Within the exciting Moving to Adulthood pilot team you will be supporting young people with SEND moving into adulthood - aged 16-25 with an EHCP.
There will be an important opportunity be involved in shaping processes as the development work continues.
The team are piloting new ways of working with young people and families to assess needs and plan for the young person to have a successful transition into adult life. The focus is very much on ensuring timely consideration of transition needs and a streamlined processes to ensure the right plan is in place at the right time for the young person and their family.

**Your **responsibilities as a Social Worker**:
- Provide reliable effective social work help and intervention to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in need so that children maintain a reasonable standard of health and development
- Identify consistently in a timely way where children are unable to live at home, take action to secure permanence for them within a timescale that meets their needs
- Show consistent effective child centred practice with children at the centre of professional assessment, planning, intervention and review activity, and their views and wishes
- Work with parents / carers to strengthen protective factors and reduce risks to the child's welfare
**Requirements of you as a Social Worker**:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
- A valid Social Work England registration
- Have competent knowledge and experience of work within Adolescents
- A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is required

**Umbrella pay **rate: £30.00-£35.00**
