CNC Machinist

Reed are representing one of the top precision engineering businesses who are located in Rainham, Essex and are looking to expand their team of CNC Turners.

Key Responsibility of this role
- Responsible for machining products to drawing specifications and to customers quality requirements, and relevant documentation in the most efficient manner.

Person Specification
- Excellent communication, team working and a passion for challenging engineering tasks are an essential part of this role.
- The ability to read and understand written instruction is essential.
- Ability to read, write and edit programmes at the machine.
- Ability to interpret and understand inspection reports.
- The ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Have a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Programming experience an advantage

- Mechanical and technical skills
- Ability to configure machine settings
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Ability to use key measuring tools
- Ability to work as part of a team

CNC Setter Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum 3 years CNC turning experience
- Apprenticeship or technical qualification such as an HNC/HND or City & Guilds
- Set up fixtures, tooling, and programmes
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings
