Housekeeping Assistant

**Responsibilities**:
Cleaning and Maintaining Guest Rooms: This involves thoroughly cleaning and tidying guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming or sweeping floors, dusting surfaces, changing linens, replenishing amenities, and ensuring the room is presentable for the next guest.
Sanitizing Bathrooms: You will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, including scrubbing toilets, sinks, and showers, replenishing toiletries, and restocking towels.
Restocking Supplies: It's important to keep track of inventory and restock guest room supplies, such as towels, toiletries, coffee, and tea.
Reporting Maintenance Issues: As you clean guest rooms, you should keep an eye out for any maintenance or repair needs, such as malfunctioning appliances, broken fixtures, or damaged furniture, and report them to the appropriate department.
Managing Lost and Found Items: If any items are left behind by guests, you may be responsible for collecting and storing them in a designated area, following the hotel's lost and found procedures.
Cleaning Public Areas: In addition to guest rooms, you may be assigned to clean and maintain public areas of the hotel, such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and lounges. This includes vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and ensuring these areas are well-presented.
Adhering to Safety and Security Standards: You should follow proper safety procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning chemicals, handling linens and trash safely, and securing guest rooms after cleaning.
Providing Excellent Customer Service: Although your primary focus is on cleaning, you may occasionally interact with guests. Being friendly, professional, and responsive to guest requests or inquiries can contribute to a positive guest experience.
Adhering to Hotel Policies and Procedures: You should familiarize yourself with the hotel's specific policies and procedures regarding housekeeping, cleanliness standards, and guest interactions, and ensure compliance.
Working as a Team: Hotel housekeeping often involves working as part of a team to ensure efficient operations. Cooperation, communication, and teamwork are important for a smooth workflow.
**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
