**Veterinary Receptionist position - 35 hours a week.**

We have an exciting opportunity for a part time receptionist to join our small but dedicated team with a passion for providing a service that goes above and beyond. The position available is for 35 hours on a static rota which will include a mixture of morning and evening shifts, and 1 in 3 weekends. For this role you will be our first point of contact for our clients and we are looking for someone with a calm, empathetic and friendly manner, and someone who can provide a positive experience for both pet and their owner.

Havant Vets4Pets has been open since 2018 and although we are a small team we are part of a group of associated practices within the Solent area which has supported local pets for over 20 years. Our sister surgeries include Companion Care Vets Portsmouth, Companion Care Vets Fareham Park Gate, Companion Care Vets Fareham Collingwood and Waterlooville Vets4Pets
- Provide a polite and confident telephone manner and be able to deal with a range of client emotions.
- Be able to multi-task in a busy environment.
- Have relevant client facing experience and excellent customer service skills.
- Have good communication skills
- Be able to work well within a team with non-clinical and clinical staff.
- Be presentable and provide a positive experience for our clientele.
- Experience with using Microsoft.
- Previous reception experience is preferred but not necessary as full training will be provided, along with the opportunity to expand your learning and career.

**Main responsibilities will include**:

- Greeting clients with a warm welcome, both in person and over the phone.
- Administration tasks including paper work for hospitalised inpatients, insurance claim forms and daily cashing up reports.
- Provide clear communication between clients and the veterinary team.
- Booking appointments, placing prescription orders and recording all client and patient information accurately on to our in-house system
- Keeping the reception area tidy, organized, and welcoming for clients and patients
- Discussing our bespoke package offers to clients, to deliver the best care for our patients.
