CRU is the world’s leading independent consultancy, business analysis and conference provider focusing on the metals, mining and fertilizer sectors.
The Events team are looking for a creative and motivated Conference Producer who will be responsible for the content management and speaker acquisition of their own portfolio of international events. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior producer to join a progressive and dynamic company, where you will have access to thought leaders and industry experts to help you build valuable programmes driven by topical themes.

**Essential Criteria**
- Research, write and deliver high-quality and innovative conference agendas across a range of both technical and commercial commodity events
- Topic generation and validation through primary and secondary research to ensure streams of content are relevant to our audience
- Liaise with in-house analysts and consultants to align content, themes and speakers with CRU business objectives
- To source, select and secure the participation of high level, industry leading speakers through networking and existing contacts to maintain CRU conference high standards
- Manage technical steering committees to develop technical agendas
- Onsite and hybrid management of speakers and moderators
- Responsibility for the content and style of conference agendas
- Produce content related copy to support sales and marketing activity
- Contribute to social media activity through regular participation on LinkedIn, Twitter and other social media channels to nurture communities as well as promote the events
- Ensure marketability and commercial viability of each conference
- Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners, sponsors, and supporters to identify opportunities to drive future growth and success
- Work with Portfolio Director and Events CEO to grow and enhance product and service offering across the portfolio to maintain market leading events.

ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Works closely with sales, marketing and operations, as well as cross department collaboration analysts and consultants to help you understand the industry and increase your network of relevant contacts.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Commercially driven with an interest in global commodity markets
- Number of years of conference production experience in B2B events
- Ability to quickly understand a market and draw up a list of appropriate topics and speakers
- Project-oriented, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm; able to operate efficiently, effectively and professionally within a fast paced, dynamic and results driven business environment
- Approachable, with a positive and collaborative attitude - delivering value to our clients and creating value for stakeholders
- Commitment to exceed client expectations
- Enthusiastic to deliver the highest quality experience to each and every client; Responsive to client needs but commercially minded
- High level of corporate awareness, able to understand the wider business context and demonstrate a commitment to supporting cross-organisational activities
- Cognisant of the importance of sharing knowledge and ideas in a constructive and supportive way
- Ability to balance the requirement to think strategically and creatively with the willingness to execute the details; hands-on approach with willingness to be flexible in order to meet business needs
- A confident and strong negotiator with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to communicate clearly (both verbally and in writing), and build and maintain trusted and collaborative relationships at all levels
