**Position: Foreman**

**Location**: Unit 2 Mill Lane Industrial Estate, Croydon CR0 4AA

**Salary**: Competitive, commensurate with experience

**Role Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Supervision and Management**:

- Lead and supervise a team of craftsmen, ensuring high standards of workmanship and productivity.
- Coordinate daily operations, including job scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

**Quality Control**:

- Oversee quality control processes to ensure that all products meet our exacting standards and client specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and finished products to maintain consistent quality.
- Implement and monitor compliance with quality control protocols and industry standards.

**Production Planning**:

- Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.

**Health and Safety**:

- Ensure that all safety regulations and company policies are strictly adhered to within the factory.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, addressing any potential hazards promptly.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management among the workforce.

**Communication and Reporting**:

- Maintain clear and effective communication with management, team members, and clients.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on production progress, workforce performance, and any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of production activities with overall business operations.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within a joinery or woodworking environment.
- Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, materials, and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Relevant certifications in health and safety or quality management are a plus.

Pay: £22.00-£25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
