Lay the foundations for a successful career with an HMS apprenticeship.
We are one of the fastest growing contractors in the North West with a forecasted turnover in excess of £100 million this year, a team of just under 1000 staff and the ambition to continue this growth.
Operating across Liverpool, St Helens, Warrington and North Wales, HMS maintain more than 40,000 homes.
A social organisation with a commercial focus generating income to drive our activities and deliver lasting change, HMS aim to invest £5m a year into local communities and life changing causes.
**This is an important role in which you will**:
- Be employed to actively learn from qualified Joiner, how to carry out construction or maintenance activity in association with the business commercial activities and undertake any associated skills required through work-based learning.
- Be based in one of our three heartlands of Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington, however you may be required to work at our sites across Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales and could be based at one of satellite offices in one of those areas.
**To be successful in this role you will**:
- Desirable, not essential, GCSE (or equivalent) Level 4 or above in English and Mathematics.
- Successfully pass a pre-entry assessment via the relevant provider which indicates your ability to complete a relevant qualification up to NVQ Level 2 standard.
- Be committed to attend college one-day per week or on block release.
- Be proactive and willing to learn and listen, the successful applicants will progress with training and experience to become a fully qualified Joiner.
- Be committed to learn to drive and gain a full driving licence by the end of the apprenticeship. Apprentices will be responsible for arranging and funding their own driving tuition and any associated tests.
