At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

**Role**:
Stakeholder management is a key requirement, ensuring high quality and agreed timelines are met, including the requirement to work with both the Honda teams and wider external network. Strong communication skills are essential for building working relationships and to develop a comprehensive network both within and outside of the company.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends and technologies, with a specific emphasis on future digital domains, to understand future societal implications.
- Detailed documentation and reporting on topic deep dives, assessing evolving landscapes, anticipating future market directions, and identifying risks and opportunities (across PESTEL).
- Monitoring and tracking of targeted ecosystems, identification of new funding opportunities (UK focus), VC trends, and identification of engagement opportunities for the wider business.
- Actively engage in workshops, networking events, and seminars to support the development and access to the wider UK ecosystem.
- Travel within the UK (and EU) to attend conferences, suppliers, workshops, and seminars.

**Qualifications, skills and experience**:
**Required**
- University degree-level in related field e.g. Business, Economics, Technology, or a equiv. discipline
- Robust research capability and methodologies to distil key insights from complex multi-domain data sources.
- Experience in industry and mid-term forecasting analysis focusing on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to document simple narratives to explain complex issues/systems and be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Extensive knowledge of MS office suite (Excel, PowerPoint & Word).

**Desirable**
- Strong interest in the interplay between technology and society and a desire to further develop their knowledge.
- Proficiency in data analytics & visualisation tools. Familiarity with Mobility, Energy and/or Data industry.
