**Objective of Role (overview)**:
To operate a designated section of the restaurant, assisting the Manager, always focusing on exceeding the expectations of the customer - providing the best possible experience incorporating EMBANKMENT KITCHEN’s standards of service requirements at all times whilst adhering to financial guidelines and supporting the business.

**REPORTS TO**:
Restaurant Manager

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

**PRODUCT & SERVICE QUALITY**:

- To ensure the service standards and timings are delivered at all times
- To demonstrate excellent knowledge of food, drink, service and EMBANKMENT KITCHEN culture
- To assist the management team in restaurant opening, operation and closing to the required standards
- To working with all Front of House staff to ensure development of customer relationships and creation of loyal regulars

**BUSINESS PROMOTION & SALES**:

- You will have an area of responsibility (Bar or Floor) and you will be responsible for hitting set KPI’s by area.
- To have a pro-active view towards promotions, sales and up selling & to be involved in coaching and training staff in suggestive selling skills

**HUMAN RESOURCES, RECRUITMENT, TRAINING & RETENTION**:

- To be responsive to all training provided and to attend all relevant training sessions
- To act as a role model to all new employees, by showing a positive approach to team spirit through support and positive communication
- Specifically, to act as a guide and mentor to other members of the Front of House team
- Full commitment to service standards & training plans for new employees
- To attend management and department meetings when required
- To communicate all employee welfare issues to the management team

**FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION**:

- To be responsible for designated shift cash outs and cash management and, to secure the opening/ close of the business.
- To be responsible for the correct till procedures and use of till along with correct cash reconciliation

**TECHNICAL SKILLS & GENERAL**:

- To comply with all Licensing legislation
- To adhere to all company rules, regulations and procedures
- To communicate any potential problems to the Restaurant Manager and take a pro-active approach to their resolution
- To consistently demonstrate attention to detail with regards to standards
- To adhere to all food hygiene and Health & Safety requirements and standards
- To be responsible in absence of Restaurant Manager
- To perform any task pertinent to the operation as directed by the Restaurant Manager
