**How will you make an impact?**

Under the general supervision of the Procurement Manager, the Buyer III primary responsibility will be handling the day to day materials planning and placement of purchase orders for the assigned commodities within both SAP and our CODA systems. The person will also support cost reduction strategies, purchase agreements, new source identification and selection, and lead supplier relationships. This position works closely with operations, planning and facilities to facilitate and implement cost reduction projects by demonstrating other internal business units and sourcing to optimally drive cost out of the supply chain.
- Ensure all SAP processes are efficient and that they reflect best practices - in both Horsham and Basel.
- Use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to plan and complete purchase orders.
- Understands and communicates component specifications to suppliers.
- Collaborate with corporate global trade and logistics to update and maintain required compliance code in ERP system for all parts.
- Locate, evaluate and select suppliers and potential suppliers to gain the best quality, cost and delivery of purchased material consistent with required standards.
- Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data and establish facts i.e. Review procurement history and usage to settle safety stocks.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently towards defined goals, maintain procurement goals at highest level. Attention to detail is a must.
- Lead metrics to monitor overall success and efficiency of procurement performance.
- Strong customer service focus to improve happiness, demonstrate judgment, tact and subtlety in dealing with internal and external customers.

**Education**:

- MCIPS qualification would be of preference.

**Experience**:

- 5 years experience in a SAP environment
- Sophisticated PC skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet skills and 5 years ERP/MRP experience.
- Confirmed experience in procurement or purchasing

- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with and positively influence leadership and all levels of the organization.
- Able to drive continuous improvement in both non-operational and operational areas, including connecting the cross-functional resources to remove waste along the extended value streams.
