**Hydrogeologist - Senior Consultant**

**Location - Darby**

My client, is seeking an experienced **Senior Hydrogeologist**to join the Hydrology and hydrogeology department based in Darlington. You will be involved in a range of projects specialising in water resourcing and permitting legislation. Youwill be working on a range of projects, so working in a fast-paced environment is key. You will be investigating and assessing risks within water quality and water resources, providing technical support to the environmental planning and permitting departments.
- A post graduate degree level qualifications in either Hydrogeology, Engineering, Geology, Catchment Management, Hydrology or similar.
- Experience in writing hydrogeological impact assessments and water quality assessments.
- Experience in environmental permitting and permitting legislation.
- Practical and technical experience working for a UK based Consultancy.
- Show confidence and aptitude to liaise with Clients to discuss project progress and complete fieldwork across sites across the UK.
- Be able to plan and supervise site investigations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- As the Senior Hydrogeologist you will be involved with all aspects of project work, spanning hydrogeology, water resources and environmental permitting.
- You will be required to prepare desk-based studies, hydrogeological impact assessments and water resource assessments.
- Planning and supervising site investigation work
- Water framework directive assessments and hydrological assessments
- Environmental Permitting.
- Frequent Client meetings to discuss project progress.
