**Brief Description**:
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Finance Business Partner in the Business Planning and Reporting Team (Southern region) based in London, 1 Puddle Dock. You will work as an integral member of the team, to proactively identify, plan and meet the finance needs of the business to improve business performance, in coordination with other members of the wider Finance team as required.

The Business Planning and Reporting Team (Southern region), which you will be a key part of, is responsible for developing and maintaining the business planning and reporting framework for the Southern region. The team is part of the Southern Finance team and reports to the Finance Director. The team’s role includes managing and contributing to the production of important periodic reports including Exec packs, periodic financials, and efficiency reporting. The team is also responsible for coordinating the region’s rolling forecasting process, which focuses on costs and income between now and March 2024 (the end of Control Period 6), as well as coordinating the long-term planning process for Control Period 7 (CP7) which we expect to run from 2024-2029.

As a Finance Business Partner in the team, you will work across all the areas that the team is responsible for, supporting the Senior Finance Business Partners and Head of Business Planning & Reporting. You will report directly to the Head of Business Planning & Reporting.

**About the role (External)**:
**Key Accountabilities**

The Business Planning and Reporting Team (Southern Region), which you will be a key part of, is responsible for the following areas which you will work on:

- Developing and maintaining the business planning and reporting framework for actuals and forecasts, liaising with Group and ensuring a consistent and clear approach across the region.
- Production of period end financial reports, including consolidation of the regional position with supporting commentary for the Finance Director.
- Coordinating the Rolling Forecast (RF) process within the region including issuing local guidance/targets, and the production of slide packs for the Southern Exec and CFO.
- Long Term business planning -Supporting and development of the Southern region’s Control Period 7 (2024-2029) plan in response to ORR’s draft and final determinations.
- Developing and maintaining the Periodic Business Review (PBR) Reporting framework, including coordinating the production of the monthly meeting pack for the Regional Executive meeting, and producing the Finance section of this pack.
- Developing and maintaining the Efficiency reporting framework, consolidating the region’s periodic efficiency submissions, liaising with Group and ensuring a consistent and clear approach across the region.
- Developing and maintaining a clear financial reporting timetable including period results, rolling forecasts, business plan and other year-end requirements.
- The production of accurate and timely regional reports and assurance of route reporting.
- Maintaining an effective interface with Group Finance.

The role will require somebody who is comfortable liaising with people at all levels within the organisation, is organised and capable of working to tight deadlines.

**Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications**

Essential
- Membership (Or working towards a membership) of a relevant accounting body (CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge and experience of creating and maintaining accounts and annual budget
- Significant experience within relevant finance disciplines
- Strong excel skills and use of data manipulation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interpret technical accounting regulations into everyday language
- Demonstrable effective influencing skills at a senior level
- Significant understanding of financial control and risk
- Excellent technical finance and accounting knowledge

Desirable
- Understanding of project management principles and experience of managing complex projects
- Membership of a relevant accounting body
- Extensive experience of Oracle based systems
- Degree or equivalent qualification in finance and accounting or business management or experience

**Salary**: £41,711 - £46,925 plus Inner London allowance of £3,270 per annum.**Dru
