Patersons Quarries are currently recruiting for a Concrete Batching Plant Operator based in Floak Quarry.

Your main duties as a Concrete Batching Plant Operator will be ensuring safe, compliant, and effective operation of the batching plant.

Your key duties will be
- Operate batching plant using ‘Command Alkon’ to produce and dispatch concrete to high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Shipping concrete to ensure maximum utilisation of trucks/workload.
- Ensuring that all health, safety & environmental rules are always followed on site.
- Management and maintenance of stock levels on site.
- Day to day running of the plant and aggregate loading.
- Ensuring that the site is kept clean, safe, and tidy at all times.
- Daily maintenance of batching plant, including defect reporting and management.
- Slumping/flowing and testing of concrete as required by the technical department.

The role is full time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (basic) at a rate of £10.40 per hour. Overtime will be required, including occasional Saturday work to meet the demands of the business.

**Key Requirements**
- Experience in a similar role is required.
- Understanding of safe working practices.
- Willing to adhere to health & safety regulations.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- You will be expected to carry out work in an outside environment in various weather conditions.
- Full driving licence as the role has a vehicle associated with it

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
