**Test Lead** required by market leading, award-winning financial services organisation based in Cirencester. The Test Lead, reporting into the IT Director, will be responsible for a small team of 4 Test Analyst’s and will be required to spend a maximum of 1-2 days a week onsite with flexibility.

**Main responsibilities of the Test Lead**:

- Ensure that the test strategy is in place and that it undergoes regular reviews to maintain relevance to the business
- Manage the testing of business change activities and ensure there are sufficient resources to support the planned testing activities and timescales
- Escalate appropriately where delivery deadlines are at risk
- Ensure that all business change activity has a test plan in place & tie this in with the wider project planning activities
- Identify relevant areas for regression testing, ensuring sufficient coverage achieved to provide confidence in releases
- Create manual and automated test scripts in line with the test plan and test strategy
- Execute tests as required in line with project demands
- Manage defects with the relevant stakeholders to prioritise defects and co-ordinate resolution with delivery teams
- Liaise with the appropriate areas to ensure all non-functional testing is undertaken in line with the test plan
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the Test Team including sickness and holiday absence, performance management and personal development.
- Support and encourage the wider Business Change team throughout the change and development lifecycle
- Keep abreast of emerging trends in testing
- Support with planning and testing of Business Continuity exercises

**Required Background**

**Essential**:

- Has worked previously in a senior test role within an organisation & has led testing on several individual projects
- Experience of planning, developing & executing manual and automated testing
- Knowledge of test tools - especially JIRA
- API Testing
- SQL
- Good standard of education with a minimum grade ‘C’ GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths and English
- A background in test planning and test execution
- Defect management
- Quality management
- Ability to manage own time and workload
- Coaching and mentoring
- Willing to be hands-on with testing

**Desirable**:

- Educated to relevant degree level or qualified by means of extensive experience
- ISEB/ISTQB qualified

This fantastic role comes with a basic salary of £55,000-60,000 p/a and is accompanied with a benefits package which includes a 10% annual bonus, a 10% non-contributory pension, 25 days plus bank holidays, death in Service cover (4x base salary), ongoing/relevant training, corporate eye care, Private Health Cover and 2 days paid leave per year for charity work to name but a few. They also work a 36 hour week.
