Working hours - 9am - 5pm (early finish on a Friday)

Working days - Monday to Friday (office based)

Our client based in Inchinnan, is looking for a Buyer to join their busy office. You will work directly with our suppliers to ensure that the flow of materials is maintained effectively and meets the demands of the production schedule. This role reports into the Operations Manager. However, you will have the additional support of cross functional teams throughout the company to ensure that customer orders are delivered on time and in full. **Key Responsibilities**
- Co-ordinate and processing PO's to ensure the flow of materials from suppliers through to production
- Liaise directly with our suppliers to meet the delivery dates required
- Co-ordinate with Customer Experience manager to communicate in advance any issues that could impact on our customer delivery expectations
- Build and maintain working relationship with the Production Supervisors to ensure accurate scheduling of time and resources
- Coordinate with Design and Engineering Team to source alternative materials when required
- Provide purchasing support in terms of quoting and cost analysis of products
- Develop deep relationships existing supply chains to include making them more sustainable
- Research and evaluate new suppliers

**About the person**
- A natural passion to work in planning and purchasing
- Purchasing and planning experience - material based manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not essential
- Enjoys being organised and is passionate about Planning & Time Management
- Enjoys working on multiple tasks
- Communicate and negotiate confidently with suppliers and colleagues
- Enjoys building working relationships by phone and in person
- Will challenge the status quo
- Good knowledge of MS Office and enjoys using Excel
- Excellent planning skills to meet the needs of supply and demand
