**Main Purpose of the Role**:
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the SHEQ Officer will manage all aspects of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) for the company.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Primary focus on OH&S management across UK sites, with a secondary focus on environment and quality management
- Completion of risk assessments, accident investigation, COSHH, etc.
- Develop and maintain an OH&S log for the company, ensuring all aspects of OH&S are managed as required by the relevant legislation/regulations
- Refine and implement the environmental policy for the company, implementing short term carbon offsetting projects and considering our long terms ambitions for net-zero
- Maintenance of ISO standards (45001, 9001 & 14001) across the Priority Freight Group
- Contractor management
- Work with supplier management team to improve carrier CO2 emissions performance
- Correction and prevention of non-conforming services
- Policy and procedure writing and amendments
- Process mapping
- Internal KPI reporting
- Continuous improvement project administration
- Involvement in external audits

**To be Considered**:

- IOSH awareness training minimum
- Knowledge of UK H&S legislation
- Previous experience with one or more ISO 45001/ 9001/14001 standard/management systems
- Succinct and articulate report writing skills
- Methodical and process driven
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Nebosh qualification desirable
