**MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB**: To maintain, to a very high standard the cleanliness of the Manor
Residential Home
**RESPONSIBLE TO**: House Manager or in her absence the Deputy House Manager.
**HOURS**: 16 Hours Per Week.
**RATE OF PAY**: £9.50 Per Hour increasing to £10 on completion of training
**SPECIFIC DUTIES**:
To adhere to the Manor Residential Home daily / monthly domestic routine as attached which includes the following:
a) Cleaning and vacuuming of the main reception areas, office, all stairs, corridors and residents bedrooms.
b) Residents rooms to be dusted, waste bins to be emptied and sinks to be cleaned on a daily basis.
c) All toilets including floors and window sills to be cleaned daily. Waste bins to be emptied as necessary.
d) Deep clean bedrooms as required.
e) All windows are to be cleaned on the inside as per the daily / monthly routine.
f) All lamp and light shades are to dusted regularly.
g) The domestic store room should be kept clean and tidy at all times.
h) Any domestic equipment not operating or showing possible wear should be reported to the house manager immediately.
i) There should be at least one weeks stock of all domestic cleaning materials used in the day to day domestic routine.
Hygiene is of the up-most importance at all times and care must be taken to ensure all waste products are not allowed to contaminate any area of the home.
Disposable gloves to be worn at individuals own discretion.
It is important that a neat and safe appearance is presented at all times. This includes the wearing of the uniform provided, tights or stockings, flat shoes with covered toes and heels.
On occasions during the year it may be necessary to work extra shift’s giving extra time to cover holidays e.t.c. These will be dealt with as and when they occur and will be under the direction of the House Manager.
