Due to current and planned growth we are looking to employ a Full Load and Groupage Planner.

This is a new and permanent role which was previously handled within the Network Distribution Team.

Location: Unit 1, Wrexham Industrial Estate, LL13 9XP

**Salary**: £28,000 - £39,000 dependant on experience plus Contributory Pension and Private Health Care

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week, general office hours to suit the needs of the role, 1 in 7 Saturday mornings as part of a rota which is paid as overtime

Purpose: The Full Load and Groupage Planner will be responsible for controlling the efficient routing of our Tramping and Groupage vehicles delivering on a national basis from our Wrexham base. This will include outbound route planning, building Groupage loads, efficient re-loading, meeting vehicle earning targets while meeting agreed customer service level KPI’s. You will also be responsible for subcontracting deliveries to our trusted local and national partners.

**Key Tasks will also include (non-exhaustive)**:

- Plan driver workloads ensuring compliance with drivers hours regulations and WTD
- Using excellent geographical knowledge to minimise empty running and meet the specified KPI’s
- Build excellent relationships with customers with the aim of maximising visibility of the forward delivery orders
- Develop new business including outgoing and backload customers using your own initiative and with the support of various department managers.
- Book in deliveries with delivery points ensuring that the times suit the most efficient routing of the vehicles and enter the times accurately into the WM
- Maintain excellent relations with the drivers including morning, evening and weekly de-briefs
- Monitor driver progress throughout the day and react accordingly to any issues that may arise.
- Communicate delays to customers in a timely fashion and agree corrective actions
- Update the TMS to ensure drivers & assigned vehicles and trailers are accurate and correct
- Use the Transport Management System and web based systems to ensure correct processes, reporting and monitoring are adhered to

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
