As Senior Games Designer, you will be the creative vision holder across either one or multiple games driving the high level creative process for each title, getting hands on with design when and where required. You’ll have great attention to detail, demand perfection and be able to inspire, lead and mentor across the entire studio.
- Responsibilities
- Main Responsibilities- Work with the product owner to define creative vision
- Design and direct development of player experiences and game mechanics
- Create and maintain design documentation
- Create core game loops, specify high level monetisation systems and purchase flows
- Create game mechanisms, product flows, levels, UI layouts, maps, and other elements
- Direct and support Junior Game Designers
- Work closely with project team members to execute design and work through design revisions as needed
- Generate requirements for design and other disciplines such as artists and developers
- Work closely with the Producer to ensure scope and milestones are met
- Conduct playtests, identify improvements on products and pro-actively fix issues
- Work closely with Mathematicians and data analysts to identify areas to improve and methods to improve the product’s acquisition, retention, conversion and monetisation during the product’s lifecycle
- Required Skills and Experience- Must have proven experience / knowledge of slot games / gambling products
- An encyclopaedic knowledge of slots games in general and a thorough understanding of what makes them work
- A high standard of written and verbal presentation skills
- High degree of creativity and proven design skills
- Ability to manage and document design on multiple projects
- Experience with a wide variety of game development tools
- Skilled with Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word
- Self-motivating, outstanding attention to detail and organisation abilities
- Inspirational, ambitious and demanding personality
- Basic computer programming skills may be helpful
