Based in the North East, Aston Workshop Ltd is a leading specialist company in the sales, servicing and restoration of Aston Martin vehicles. We work day to day with some of the most elegant and iconic vehicles available in the world, dating back to the very origins of the Aston Martin brand. We employ over 40 specialist staff and operate from a large facility set in the peaceful Beamish Countryside.

Responsible for the manufacturing, build, maintenance and tuning of a variety of high-performance powertrains, our engineering team are at the very heart of what we do. We are looking to add another experienced and talented individual to work with us and this role represents a rare opportunity within the premium heritage automotive sector to gain a foothold in the very heart of our development and restoration activities.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Preparation, building, and rebuilding of both new and reconditioned performance engines.
- Engine stripping, maintenance and diagnostics
- Recording and maintaining all build data, specification and assembly details
- Automotive component engineering within the team environment
- All aspects assembly and tuning of traditional engines of the nature typically found in a wide range of classic Aston Martin models including both carburettor and fuel injected systems on 6,8 and 12 cylinder engines.
- Testing and verification of automotive parts and engine components using various tools and measuring equipment
- Fault finding
- Ensuring the work area is kept clean, tidy and safe to work in
- Maintaining our high levels of customer satisfaction.

**Relevant Experience & Qualifications Required**
- An employment background and relevant qualifications in the field of automotive engineering
- A minimum of 5 years’ high level experience in an engine re-manufacturing / reconditioning environment
- A proven record of professional engine building at a reputable business
- The ability to strip down engines, carry out full diagnostics and plan necessary repairs and modifications
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and keep detailed and accurate records
- Pride in attention to detail and the capability to efficiently deliver a high standard of quality whilst working to deadlines in a time-sensitive environment
- An advanced understanding of car parts, components and an advanced interest in mechanical aspects of classic cars
- A HNC/HND or Degree or equivalent in a related engineering discipline is desirable but not essential
- Good communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- A self-motivated, team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- A skills bias towards Workshop or machine shop disciplines is considered an advantage

**Further Details**

Working hours are Monday
- Friday, 40 hours per week with paid overtime.

Pay is negotiable depending on experience, please contact us to discuss.

Flexible working hours are considered.

**Salary**: From £30,000.00 per year
