Furniture Maker

The Rusland Movement is a high-end bespoke furniture and interiors company, looking for a skilled and experienced cabinet maker to join the team.
- Have experience as a cabinet maker in a commercial environment
- Be able to show a portfolio of work to demonstrate a range of skills at a high level
- Have an excellent knowledge of native hardwoods and their properties, as well as a range of other materials such as glass, metals and plastics
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of ability at a bench with both hand tools and power tools
- Be trained and familiar with all the usual woodworking machinery
- Be able to find solutions to new problems
- Have an eye for detail, and be able to work efficiently, precisely, and to a very high standard
- Have a thirst for learning new techniques to further themselves and the team

The Rusland Movement operate from stunning premises in Backbarrow, near the southern tip of Windermere in the Lake District, where the extensive workshops and showrooms provide a fabulous work environment.

The company is built on the staff’s passion for their work. The jobs will be incredibly varied, as most projects are entirely bespoke, designed for each client by our design team.
