**Product Development Manager**required for my client based in Tonbridge, Kent.

My client is actively looking for a product development manager, ideally with a few years' experience working within an engineering company, within product management and design.

**Product Development ManagerPosition Overview**
- Creating design proposals and concepts providing the company with a strong visual representation using CAD (Inventor) and ensuring these designs are valid and cost effective.
- Supporting and managing design and R&D projects through the entire lifecycle successfully handing over to production partners.
- To oversee the design processes and ensure that company procedures are followed (New Product Development and Design Change Request administration, design processes and procedures.
- To produce, update and maintain manufacturing packs for products (BOMs, drawings, specifications, assembly guides, etc).
- To be the main point of contact for the design team communicating with marketing and sales, to assist with technical matters/ idea generation.
- To be a point of contact for our manufacturing partners with regards to manufacturing queries, launching new products, gaining quotes, quality control, etc.
- To provide project plans for design projects and ensure these are followed accordingly.
- To help with the design departments budget, internal and external resources.
- To provide weekly updates of the progress of projects to management.
- To be responsible for planning and executing internal and external testing of products (EMC testing etc.).
- To support the electronic engineers within their roles.
- To provide technical support internally & externally (when required).

**Product Development ManagerPosition Requirements**
- Understanding of electronics packaging including ergonomics, thermal & regulatory requirements.
- An interest in electronics or audio equipment and new technologies.
- Experience working with plastics, sheet metalwork and injection moulding.
- Experience developing low volume products.
- Inventor & AutoCAD experience.
- Experience in taking a product through certification (e.g., IP, UL, EMC).
- Keyshot experience (producing render images for concept, sales, and marketing).
- Customer facing to support with new business opportunities.
- Experience providing technical support internally & externally.
- Prototyping experience.
- Based within a commutable distance of Tonbridge, Kent.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

**Product Development ManagerPosition Remuneration**
- Salary - £32,000 to £35,000 - depending on experience and skillset.
- 20 days holidays plus the 8 bank holidays.
- Full time working position - with flexible hybrid working policy an option.
