Drivers Mate/ Porter

Are you a hardworking, flexible and professional individual looking to work as part of a small team? We are seeking a Drivers Mate to support our client based in the Wilmslow area. The role involves delivering white goods to customers' homes around the North.

This is an ongoing contract and is a role that would suit someone who has previously worked as a driver's mate before or carried out driving duties themselves or worked as a labourer. Ideally, you will have your own transport due to shift start and finish times.

The role requires manual handling, and the successful applicant will be polite, professional and smartly presented as you will be expected to enter customers houses.

This is a Monday to Saturday operation and therefore you will be required to work the occasional Saturday.

**Duties* include**:

- Arrive at the client's depot on time, smartly presented. You will be required to wear safety boots, a high viz and dark clothing (no sportswear or hoodies)
- Help the driver to load the vehicle
- Set off on the rounds and be responsible for calling each customer prior to arrival at their home
- Safely carry items such as TVs, beds, mattresses to the required location in the customers homes
- Return to depot and help unload the vehicle

**Pay and hours**:
Shift patterns vary but will generally be as per below, and we are looking for someone who can offer flexibility including capacity to work Saturdays:

- 6am - 17.00 or;
- 10.30am - 21.30

Pay rate (PAYE) is £11.42ph which
**is PAYE with holiday shown in the hourly rate**

Holiday to be accrued separately is £10.19ph
