PST is based in South Shields, Tyne and Wear is one of the UK's leading Furniture Manufactures

We are looking for an experienced, extremely organised person with extensive experience using SAGE who is friendly & comfortable taking payments and making phone calls.

Primarily you will take responsibility for all aspects of the companies finances and bookkeeping,

using Sage, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up-to-date before submission to our external Accountants.

Your day to day responsibilities will include the following:
Processing sales invoices, entering incoming receipts onto Sage, maintenance of Debtors.

Processing purchase ledger invoices, creating payment schedules for suppliers, maintenance of Creditors.

Input of Payroll from timesheets, processing to output of payment lists and double entry journals.

Maintenance of Pension system, to output of payment lists and double entry journals.

Reconciliation of Bank and Bank Card accounts

Assistance in production of quarterly VAT returns

Dealing with any queries, internal and external, to include but not limited to:

- Customers, Suppliers, HMRC, banks, our accountants, etc

Answering the office phone - speaking with existing & potential customers.

Taking payments from same.

Inputting work orders on to our job system (training provided)

**Experience**:
Sage: (required)

Bookkeeping to Trial balance level: (required)

Payroll/Pension (required)

Would suit someone starting out on an accountancy career, or a time served bookkeeper.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 35 - 40 per week

**Salary**: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
